East Lake Country Club Established

With golf becoming more popular, the Club purchased a 178 acre tract of land in nearby DeKalb County, which was the site of former amusement park. In 1904, the Club broke ground on the first golf course at the newly formed “East Lake Country Club”. The golf course architect was Tom Bendelow.
